BlackBerry 9320 Curve (Armstrong) – Following the Gemini Success Story
Following the Gemini success story.
As if repeating the schemes that have been done before with Gemini, RIM launched its 3G version of the Curve 9300 series. RIM now bring Armstrong following Davis with the improvement of mobile data network support and improved camera. The difference, RIM gave a one-year gap between Gemini and Curve 3G, but now Armstrong comes just a month after Davis on the market.By adding a small price you can get support for 3G mobile data, mobile hotspot feature and the camera has a greater resolution plus LED flash light on Armstrong than if you choose Davis

Dimensions 109 x 60 x 12.7 mm; Weight 103g; Keyboard QWERTY, trackpad
Physically, Armstrong is look similar with Davis. The easiest thing to tell them apart is by looking at the bezel that surrounds the two phones. At Armstrong, was given the same finishing metal, in contrast to Davis that gives color to match the dominant color of the phone.
Another difference is in the back of the phone, Armstrong has LED lights flash while Davis did not. As with Davis, Armstrong has a shortcut button on the left side of phones. But it was not different from the left convenience key in Gemini. You can change the function on the Options.
TFT, 65K colors; 320 x 240 pixels, 2.44 inches (~164 ppi pixel density); Touch-sensitive optical trackpad
Armstrong uses the same screen as the one found in Davis. There was no significant progress in this sector if compared with Gemini. From the specification exist differences in the size of the screen, but the difference of 0:02 inches of course cannot be realized directly without making measurements. Just as the Apollo and Davis, Armstrong screen only serves as a display and not as touch panel like most other BlackBerry OS 7 generations.

BlackBerry OS 7.1
Came late to the game, making Armstrong equipped with BlackBerry OS version 7.1 by default like Davis. Unlike other BlackBerry OS 7 generation that requires the user to update the OS to feel this new version. Even so the general appearance of OS 7.1 BlackBerry Armstrong did not differ with the latest generation of other OS 7. There are 5 panel side by side on homescreen which is All, Favorites, Media, Downloads and Frequent.
Icons on the panel is lined 6 panels laterally, as in Davis, Apollo, Dakota and Bellagio. Unfortunately a number of features that would be the power of BlackBerry OS 7.1 would not be found in Armstrong, such as WiFi and BlackBerry Calling Tag.

BlackBerry is identical to the BlackBerry Messenger. At Armstrong, RIM includes the latest BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) with BlackBerry Connect. Popular social networking applications like Facebook and Twitter was already installed on Armstrong when first used. Similarly, chat or instant messaging services like Yahoo Messenger and Google Talk. Various social applications can be integrated in the application of social feeds making it easier for users to watch a variety of social accounts owned or update the status at the same time.
3.15 MP, 2048×1536 pixels, LED flash; Geo-tagging, image stabilization
If the user Davis should be satisfied with the smallest maximum resolution in the generation of OS 7, 2MP. The user of Armstrong has a camera with better resolution, 3.15MP. Another advantage compared to Armstrong, Davis camera has a number of settings on the camera with the same features like the more expensive BlackBerry phone.
Standard battery, Li-Ion 1450 mAh
For power supply, Armstrong has advantages over its sibling.
This smartphone is equipped with a battery that has even a higher power than the Dakota’s and Monza. With a screen that is narrower and lower specification Armstrong of course the battery could give ‘life’ in a longer duration than Dakota or Monza.
